Closely inspired by the preferred outerwear of particular wizards, this mid-length cloak features a generous square hood and the perfect amount of weight for both sturdiness and moving with a dramatic flair. When on a very long road to a very old friend's most extravagant birthday party, there is hardly a more appropriate choice.
Simple and sturdy, this cloak is a practical, frill-free piece. It is made of densely woven linen in a light to medium gray. The hood is spacious, but not extravagant- just large enough to hide your face in a dimly lit tavern. The body is a full 3/4 circle, so it will lay closed easily on most anyone, as 1/2 circle cloaks often struggle to do. The eyelets have been re-enforced and handstitched for durability. Linen is an oft overlooked material, but it dries quickly and is extremely efficient at keeping you cool in hot weather; many reenactors who wear 4-5 layers of it in sweltering heat it will be eager to tell you this. Although this is not an insulated garment, the cooling ability does not sacrifice any of the warmth you might expect from a good, dense, layer of material. For your day-to-day working cloak needs, this piece is a perfect 3 seasons choice.
